The Holy City Blues Exchange was in its 7th year of bringing live blues music to picturesque Charleston South Carolina. They approached us to give new life to their site which hadn’t changed since their first year. They had tons of great pictures form professional photographers they’d hired over the years. They had tons of great bands, but wanted to do more than just list band names on the site.
The site needed to track registration of participants, require them to accept a liability Terms of Service agreement, and accept their payments through PayPal. Additionally there was a requirement to allow people to request local free housing, and to allow people to sign up to house event attendees. All of this information needed to be exported to a spreadsheet.
So Northpaw came in and did a re-work of their site. Using information generated in their Facebook group, we created a dynamic responsive site that described the bands, featured pictures of events past, and had testimonials of attendees. All of the registration information was stored in the database so it could be exported into a spreadsheet as often as the customer liked. At the time of the event, a schedule with event locations was made especially to be loaded on phones with easy links to load places into phone navigation apps. At the last minute, we added a list of places to eat with the same location-based functionality.
Holy City Blues Exchange was happy with their site and got many compliments on it from their attendees.
